James graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). He has a passion for assisting clients to overcome barriers set by injury, disease or disability through goal setting, equipment prescription and task-oriented rehabilitation. James has a specific interest in neurological conditions, particularly in stroke and upper limb rehabilitation post-stroke. He has a keen interest in providing innovative interventions to improve physical and cognitive functioning for people of all demographics. James’ goal is to provide effective rehab strategies and environmental modifications that enable his clients to achieve more productive, enriching participation in activities at home and within their communities. He loves to travel, cook for friends, and adventure in and around the Sunshine Coast’s hinterland region in his spare time.

Lexi Ironside

General Physiotherapy

Following her passion for helping others achieve their optimal quality of life, Lexi completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in early 2016. In the years since, she has gained experience across many hospital wards, including inpatient and outpatient orthopaedics, cardiac and pain management programs, and surgical rehabilitation.

Lexi has transitioned to Community Care to help engage her clients and create lifelong health benefits through individualised treatment plans that provide lasting independence in the home.

When Lexi is not working, you will undoubtedly find her hiking in the great outdoors or enjoying the sunshine on her stand up paddleboard (trying to get those “core” muscles working!).

Tom completed his studies, obtaining a qualification as a Remedial Massage Therapist (Advanced Rehab) and an additional Cert 4 in Allied Heath Assistant (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy). Emily Whitmore graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in June 2012, achieving a first-class honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She then completed her Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage, qualifying in August 2013. She is also a qualified therapist in advanced Dry Needling.

Since qualifying Emily has worked as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within Physiotherapy clinics in the United Kingdom, her clinical experience also includes working with British Triathlon at their base in Loughborough; this has involved travelling overseas to training camps and European and World Triathlon events, helping to prevent injury and facilitate recovery from training and competition. Emily also worked as the primary masseuse for the Loughborough Students Elite Rugby Union Team, competing in National League 1.

Kyeong McPherson

Paediatric Physiotherapist

Kyeong graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and moved up to Sunshine Coast in 2005 looking for an adventure. Since graduating, Kyeong has worked in various clinic settings but found her passion in Paediatrics earlier on and has worked in this area for almost 15 years. Kyeong has spent 3 years working for the NHS in the UK, and 12 years for the Cerebral Palsy League, where she also held the Team Leader position for 2 years before joining the TRS family. Kyeong has experience in all paediatric diagnoses and presentations, especially in the disability sector, specialising in neurological rehabilitation and complex physical impairments.

Kyeong is holistic in her care and thrives on learning and evolving as a therapist to achieve the best outcome for our clients and their care providers. From the initial assessment, there must be a level of understanding and trust to build the relationship needed to work together with respect and positivity to achieve the goals of the client and their support team.

Kyeong is never far away from her family (husband, son, and fur-baby) away from work. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends exploring all that the sunshine coast has to offer!

Aileen has a passion for supporting children to overcome barriers and reach their potential. In her twelve years since graduating from the University of Queensland, she has enjoyed working in a range of settings including hospitals and the community. Over the past decade, her work has primarily been with children and young adults living with physical and neurological disabilities, as well as other developmental conditions. Aileen understands the importance of nurturing the unique strengths and interests of each individual and uses a range of interventions with a focus on promoting function and independence through goal-directed, play-based therapies; assistive technology; and environmental modification. Nicholas graduated from QUT in 2015. Nicholas previously worked in Far North Queensland and on the Sunshine Coast; he relocated to the Gold Coast in 2021 with his wonderful wife and daughter. On the weekends, he loves fishing, camping and visiting the beautiful beaches all along the Coast. Nicholas has a particular interest in complex caseloads, including diabetes, paediatrics and walking gait function, although enjoying all aspects of Podiatry. Callum Smith

Callum completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Queensland in 2017 and has since been working in private practice in Brisbane and more recently on the Sunshine Coast. Callum enjoys meeting clients from all walks of life. He takes pride in tailoring treatment plans to fit each individual’s lifestyle and goals. A key philosophy Callum strives to practice by, is taking the time to get to know the person in front of him and incorporate their input to their own rehabilitation. Away from work, Callum enjoys playing Rugby in the local A-grade competition is a huge Sunshine Coast Lightning fan. Originally hailing from Charters Towers, North Queensland, Callum likes to escape the hustle and bustle by heading out bush or up the coast.

Luke is an experienced podiatrist who has been operating in private practice for over 14 years, with 2 years of rural experience with Queensland Health. Luke volunteered for several years with the Queensland Podiatry Board and was appointed president in 2017, providing insight and experience at an industry body level.
This combination of experience and study has led him to gain a strong reputation as a caring and trustworthy practitioner.
Luke has comprehensive experience in podiatry and enjoys all aspects, from mechanical assessment and sports injuries to ingrown nails and plantar warts. Luke just
likes fixing feet problems. In addition to his Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at QUT, Luke also has a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, which talks to his interest in sport-related injury management and prevention.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Luke has an inherent love for sports, camping and the outdoors. He is a keen golfer and enjoys helping to coach his children’s soccer teams.

Originally from the Gold Coast, Jaime worked for 6 years as an admin and practice manager in a podiatry/osteopathy clinic while studying a Bachelor of Journalism and Psychology at UQ. She soon discovered a passion for helping the disability community while supporting special needs children within the education system. Jaime began to pursue a role in the disability and community health industry as an Allied Health Assistant to assist community and in-home clients with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy and OT (daily living skills and assistive technology).

Working closely with the prescribing professional, Jaime loves the allied health industry and combining all the knowledge from the various fields to create meaningful and functional sessions for her clients to see the best outcome possible. She is continuing her journey into allied health by currently undertaking a Masters of OT.

Combining a love for exercise and a desire to help people, Ben dove straight into the studies of Exercise Physiology and through his experience has further cultivated a passion for Musculoskeletal and Neurological rehabilitation. Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, he gained the skills and knowledge to guide people through their recovery, getting them back to what they love doing. Ben believes in a person-centred approach to rehabilitation ensuring all individuals are listened to and are involved in the curation of their treatment plan.

Ben is fortunate enough to be a lifelong local of the Sunshine Coast and has participated in most sports and activities the region has to offer. When he’s not working you can find Ben out in the surf, on the golf course perfecting his swing, or in the kitchen testing new recipes.

Trent completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy through Charles Sturt University, being amongst the first cohort to complete this degree at the Port Macquarie campus. Most recently from WA, Trent changed careers to pursue his passion for helping others. Trent has a keen interest in Paediatrics and rehabilitation through exercise drawing from a background in strength and conditioning. Nikita graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Nikita has previous experience working as a Local Area Coordinator on the Fraser Coast, supporting families and their children to access NDIS funding and early interventional support. Nikita has a passion for mental health and supporting individuals to live purposeful life with as much independence as possible. Nikita has clinical experience providing evidence-based care in mental health and community care settings and continues to enjoy providing support in these areas. Nikita strongly believes in advocating for individuals’ support needs and assisting them in taking control of their health and well-being. Craig Greber

Craig graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy to complement his previous degree in Human Movement Studies and his Diploma of Education. Craig completed his Doctor of Philosophy in occupational therapy with a focus on supporting motor learning and skill acquisition in children. He has published internationally and continues to contribute to the knowledge base in occupational therapy through research and clinical practice.

Over his career, Craig has moved between clinical, management and academic roles and has experience supporting children 0-18 with a range of developmental needs and disabilities. He specialises in early intervention, behavioural support and paediatric toileting issues.

Craig continues to be motivated to work with children and families to support growth and development that enables children to live rewarding, autonomous lives.

Tara was inspired to delve into this area due to her love for exercise, along with her passion to guide and educate people faced with diverse health challenges. Cameron Flavell graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Auckland University of Technology; he relocated to Australia and has been here for the past four years. Cameron’s background is in banking and finance; however, he has been heavily involved in the health and fitness sector, managing gyms and wellness centres in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast for the last four years.
Cameron has a huge passion for all types of sport; he has competed in marathons, iron man triathlons and has played rugby to a high level in New Zealand, the UK, and Australia, winning the QLD premier rugby competition in 2019 and 2021.
