James McKenzie
Occupational Therapist
James graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). He has a passion for assisting clients to overcome barriers set by injury, disease or disability through goal setting, equipment prescription and task-oriented rehabilitation.
James has a specific interest in neurological conditions, particularly in stroke and upper limb rehabilitation post-stroke. He has a keen interest in providing innovative interventions to improve physical and cognitive functioning for people of all demographics.

Emily Whitmore
Remedial Massage Therapist
Emily Whitmore graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in June 2012, achieving a first-class honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She then completed her Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage, qualifying in August 2013. She is also a qualified therapist in advanced Dry Needling.
Since qualifying Emily has worked as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within Physiotherapy clinics in the United Kingdom, her clinical experience also includes working with British Triathlon at their base in Loughborough; this has involved traveling overseas to training camps and European and World Triathlon events, helping to prevent injury and facilitate recovery from training and competition. Emily also worked as the primary masseuse for the Loughborough Students Elite Rugby Union Team, competing in National League 1.

Josh graduated from La Trobe University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Health Science/ Master of Physiotherapy Practice.
Josh has worked extensively in the private practice setting with various caseloads including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological conditions. In 2021 Josh moved to the Sunshine Coast and took on a community therapy role with TRS; he has a strong interest in persistent pain, neurological conditions and exercise-based rehab.

Kyeong McPherson
Paediatric Physiotherapist
Kyeong graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and moved up to Sunshine Coast in 2005 looking for an adventure. Since graduating, Kyeong has worked in various clinical settings but found her passion in Paediatrics earlier on and has worked in this area for almost 15 years. Kyeong has spent 3 years working for the NHS in the UK, and 12 years for the Cerebral Palsy League, where she also held the Team Leader position for 2 years before joining the TRS family. Kyeong has experience in all paediatric diagnoses and presentations, especially in the disability sector, specialising in neurological rehabilitation and complex physical impairments.
Kyeong is holistic in her care and thrives on learning and evolving as a therapist to achieve the best outcome for our clients and their care providers. From the initial assessment, there must be a level of understanding and trust to build the relationship needed to work together with respect and positivity to achieve the goals of the client and their support team.

With this love and her knowledge of the Coast and TRS, Jordy is equipped to assist our clients with finding the best therapist and helping them begin their journey with our company. Jordy comes from a big family, so she is always down for a laugh or a chat. She is kind, caring and always there for our team and clients. Stacey Duncan

Stacey completed her certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance (physiotherapy) through TAFE Queensland. Stacey completed her work placement through Total Rehab Solutions, then began full-time work with the company soon after.
Stacey has two years of previous experience as an Allied Heath Assistant, where she assisted in falls prevention classes, aqua aerobics, and hydrotherapy.

Shelly graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) and Masters of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University. She has moved to the Gold Coast with experience in acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and community care. Shelly understands the complexities of the physical, mental and emotional challenges that her clients experience as she supports them through their journey to recovery and independence at home. Shelly is passionate about providing inclusive and creative therapy that empowers clients to be at the centre of their goals.
She has a strong background in geriatrics care and neurological conditions with a particular interest in post-stroke upper limb therapy, rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, home modifications and assistive technology prescription. Luke is an experienced podiatrist who has been operating in private practice for over 14 years, with 2 years of rural experience with Queensland Health. Luke volunteered for several years with the Queensland Podiatry Board and was appointed president in 2017, providing insight and experience at an industry body level. This combination of experience and study has led him to gain a strong reputation as a caring and trustworthy practitioner.

Combining a love for exercise and a desire to help people, Ben dove straight into the studies of Exercise Physiology and through his experience has further cultivated a passion for Musculoskeletal and Neurological rehabilitation. Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, he gained the skills and knowledge to guide people through their recovery, getting them back to what they love doing. Ben believes in a person-centred approach to rehabilitation ensuring all individuals are listened to and are involved in the curation of their treatment plan.

Emily Brazier

Emily hails from Townsville and completed her Occupational Therapy degree at James Cook University. Emily has a keen interest in stable and degenerative neurological disabilities and supporting individuals to achieve independence through adaptions to their environments, accessing assistive technology and through therapy-based interventions. Emily is passionate about developing life-long therapeutic relationships and supporting individuals over their lifespan as their needs change.
Emily primarily works within the NDIS space, and has been supporting NDIS participants since the scheme’s roll out in SEQ. She also has experience working with DVA and HCP clients. She works predominantly with participants over the age of 18 with neurological and physical conditions. Throughout her career, Emily has worked in the community setting, as well as within the Australian Public Service as a NDIS planner and an OT at the NDIA’s technical advisory.

Caitlin Follett
Paediatric & Eating Disorder Dietitian
Caitlin is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who completed her Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast and has spent many years working in private practice supporting her clients with a range of nutrition concerns across the coast. She has special interests in paediatric nutrition, and eating disorder management and regularly completes additional training and education in these areas of nutrition.
Caitlin has completed her Certificate of Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetics through the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and is a qualified SOS Feeding Therapist. Caitlin is passionate about supporting even the littlest of clients to develop life-long skills to support proper nutrition and develop a positive relationship with food. She works closely with clients, their families and carers and takes great pride in improving not just the client’s experience with food, but also helping the bigger support network along the feeding and eating journey too. Caitlin has experience working with paediatric clients with ASD, ADHD, fussy eating, sensory processing difficulties, faltering growth, global underdevelopment, eating disorders, cerebral palsy and more. She is also able to support those requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition (tube feeding).
Caitlin also has a special interest in eating disorder management. She works with clients across the lifespan to improve their experience with food and their quality of life to support eating disorder recovery. She has worked in private practice, hospitals, and aged-care facilities, transitioning to her current role as a community podiatrist 8 years ago.

Podiatrist
Raj has been a sports fan all his life. He grew up playing soccer, but his main passion is rugby league. He proudly supports the Brisbane Broncos (they are his life!). He loves to solve problems and has a passion for treating patients of all ages and abilities. He graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Podiatry. Prior to podiatry, he graduated with a Bachelor of Biological Science from Queensland University of Technology. He gathered extensive knowledge and experience with footwear while working at The Athlete’s Foot for 9 years, working closely with world renowned brands.
The reason Raj became a Podiatrist was to help people achieve their goals and to treat lower limb injuries. His special interest is biomechanics and solving lower limb foot pathologies such as bone stress and tendon or ligament injuries. He also has a soft spot for community outreach and helping people with their foot care needs at the comfort of their own home.
Raj’s interest in foot health extends to nail surgeries, biomechanical assessments, general foot care and community allied health services.
Outside of work, he enjoys going to the beach and physical activity such as the gym or playing social sports such as touch footy, indoor soccer and basketball. He also enjoys road trips, adventure, trying out new things and exploring what Queensland or Australia has to offer. Mitch has a Diploma in Remedial Massage. He has just joined us from Perth, where he worked in a large multidisciplinary clinic. He also had the opportunity to work providing sports massage for men and women’s elite sports teams such as Fremantle Dockers, Western Force, Perth Glory, and Perth Wildcats, as well as world-class women’s tennis players for the United Cup.
These two experiences have shaped him as a therapist to be comfortable treating and communicating with patients clinically who are referred by other practitioners, as well as being confident in treating a variety of athletes with varying needs.
Mitch’s ideal clients are people of any level who take their sport, fitness or health journey seriously. These are his own values towards life, work, sport, fitness and health, and he thrives on treating people with the same philosophy. Juliette started her career in the west of London, working within the busy hospitals of the NHS. After two years, Juliette returned to Melbourne where she begun working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she focussed on the assessment and management of those who had sustained a traumatic brain injury and complex orthopaedic injuries.
