James McKenzie
Occupational Therapist
James graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). He has a passion for assisting clients to overcome barriers set by injury, disease or disability through goal setting, equipment prescription and task-oriented rehabilitation. James has a specific interest in neurological conditions, particularly in stroke and upper limb rehabilitation post-stroke. He has a keen interest in providing innovative interventions to improve physical and cognitive functioning for people of all demographics. James’ goal is to provide effective rehab strategies and environmental modifications that enable his clients to achieve more productive, enriching participation in activities at home and within their communities. He loves to travel, cook for friends, and adventure in and around the Sunshine Coast’s hinterland region in his spare time.
Lexi Ironside
General Physiotherapy
Following her passion for helping others achieve their optimal quality of life, Lexi completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University in early 2016. In the years since, she has gained experience across many hospital wards, including inpatient and outpatient orthopaedics, cardiac and pain management programs, and surgical rehabilitation.
Lexi has transitioned to Community Care to help engage her clients and create lifelong health benefits through individualised treatment plans that provide lasting independence in the home.
When Lexi is not working, you will undoubtedly find her hiking in the great outdoors or enjoying the sunshine on her stand up paddleboard (trying to get those “core” muscles working!).
Michael Cottam
General Physiotherapy
Michael graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2017. Michael has spent the last two and a half years working in the aged care and community sectors, treating a wide range of neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic presentations. Michael also has experience in the running individual and group falls prevention and balance classes. Michael is eager to ensure that each client achieves their goals and is keen to continue to develop his skills moving forward. Outside of work, Michael is a keen tennis player and enjoys travelling and the outdoors.
Stacy Phillips
Occupational Therapist
Stacy graduated with an Honours in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sunshine Coast in 2018 and, since then, has been working within the aged care sector.
She has developed a passion for working collaboratively with clients in an evidence-based, holistic and client-centred way. This approach enables her to better support clients to overcome challenges in their most important and meaningful activities, empowering them to live a more satisfying and fulfilling life.
In her spare time, Stacy enjoys living an active and balanced lifestyle with outdoor activities such as hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, and indoor activities such as reading, cooking, journaling, and Qigong.
Teah Engle
Occupational Therapist
Teah graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours). Teah is passionate about providing client-centred care to achieve successful outcomes within the community. Ensuring her clients achieve their goals, maintain independence and their ability to participate in meaningful activities. Teah has a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation, lymphedema, fatigue management and falls risk prevention. Teah’s goal is to promote independence in her clients to remain living at home safely, with effective and successful evidence-based interventions. Teah is motivated and prides herself on her empathetic nature and ability to communicate and build healthy relationships with clients and health professionals. In Teah’s spare time, she enjoys fitness and being outdoors.
Emily Whitmore
Remedial Massage Therapist
Emily Whitmore graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in June 2012, achieving a first-class honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She then completed her Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage, qualifying in August 2013. She is also a qualified therapist in advanced Dry Needling.
Since qualifying Emily has worked as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within Physiotherapy clinics in the United Kingdom, her clinical experience also includes working with British Triathlon at their base in Loughborough; this has involved travelling overseas to training camps and European and World Triathlon events, helping to prevent injury and facilitate recovery from training and competition. Emily also worked as the primary masseuse for the Loughborough Students Elite Rugby Union Team, competing in National League 1.
Amber Hicks Keith

Amber is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of the Sunshine Coast, heading into the third year of her degree. Previously she has worked in pharmacy for six years as a dispensary technician and is a qualified AIN. Amber has an empathetic nature and ensures her work is client centred. She has a drive for her clients to reach their goals whilst building a therapeutic relationship. Amber is interested in neurological conditions, oedema, sensory regulation and fatigue management. In Amber’s spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, friends and partner, enjoys the outdoors and travel.

Caitlin graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Caitlin has had clinical experience in both hospital and community settings. Caitlin is passionate about enhancing each client’s quality of life by maximising independence and engagement in meaningful activities. Caitlin highly values building therapeutic relationships with her clients and acknowledges the importance of a collaborative approach to achieve client-centred outcomes. Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing sport and taking her Golden Retriever, Beau, for walks along the beach.
Rachael Gilholm
Dietitian
Rachael Gilholm is a dedicated and passionate Accredited Practicing Dietitian who graduated from the University of Sunshine Coast. Since graduation, Rachael has worked within the hospital setting in both inpatient and outpatient care, within the private practice realm along with significant experience in the community space and working with NDIS participants. Rachael has undergone further professional development and training in Sports Nutrition, with a keen interest in endurance and ultra-endurance athletes along with further training in disordered eating. Rachael Prides herself on optimizing an individual’s health and well-being through nutrition therapy. Rachael provides an individualized approach and works with other disciplines in ensuring the best outcomes for her patients. Rachael’s main interests are women’s health, diabetes management, chronic disease management, gut health and sports nutrition.
Kelly Edwards
Occupational Therapist
Kelly graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2015. Since then, she has been working in rehabilitation in the hospital setting, finding a keen interest in working with people post-stroke, brain injury, and amputation. Kelly loves working with clients to find unique ways to overcome barriers and evolve one’s functional independence. Kelly is currently completing her Masters of Rehabilitation to further her knowledge and clinical skills. Kelly enjoys getting outdoors, exercising, and spending time with her family, friends, and puppy in her spare time.

Kiana graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Honours). Kiana is passionate about providing client-focused care to ensure clients are receiving relevant and effective therapy. As a new graduate, Kiana is excited to continue her professional development, specifically in the areas of assistive technology, upper limb rehab, and mental health. Kiana likes to go camping with her dog, spend time with her family, and look after her garden in her spare time.
Josh Dunne
Physiotherapist
Josh graduated from La Trobe University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Health Science/ Master of Physiotherapy Practice.
Josh has worked extensively in the private practice setting with various caseloads including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological conditions. In 2021 Josh moved to the Sunshine Coast and took on a community therapy role with TRS; he has a strong interest in persistent pain, neurological conditions and exercise-based rehab.
Josh enjoys collaborating with his clients to help them reach their goals and takes pride in making rehab fun and purposeful. Outside of work, he likes to spend time in the great outdoors, keep fit and travel whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Casey Roser
Exercise Physiologist
Casey Roser is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist after completing a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. As an EP, Casey truly believes exercise is the best medicine. Casey believes building rapport with her valued clients and providing an individualised professional service builds a fantastic foundation and is the key to helping her clients achieve their goals. Casey enjoys seeing a wide range of clientele, however, since starting work in the community space has become extremely passionate about all things in the mental health space! Outside of work you will find Casey keeping herself fit and healthy or in the arena with her horses.
Kyeong McPherson
Paediatric Physiotherapist
Kyeong graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and moved up to Sunshine Coast in 2005 looking for an adventure. Since graduating, Kyeong has worked in various clinic settings but found her passion in Paediatrics earlier on and has worked in this area for almost 15 years. Kyeong has spent 3 years working for the NHS in the UK, and 12 years for the Cerebral Palsy League, where she also held the Team Leader position for 2 years before joining the TRS family. Kyeong has experience in all paediatric diagnoses and presentations, especially in the disability sector, specialising in neurological rehabilitation and complex physical impairments.
Kyeong is holistic in her care and thrives on learning and evolving as a therapist to achieve the best outcome for our clients and their care providers. From the initial assessment, there must be a level of understanding and trust to build the relationship needed to work together with respect and positivity to achieve the goals of the client and their support team.
Kyeong is never far away from her family (husband, son, and fur-baby) away from work. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends exploring all that the sunshine coast has to offer!

Joe has a passion for working together with patients to ensure they achieve their goals. Joe has a special interest in treating those with neurological conditions and pain. He is currently studying for his masters in neurological rehabilitation and has completed several professional development courses in neurological rehabilitation and persistent pain.

Jordy is one of our outstanding Full-time Admin Members, who looks after all our new clients and enquiries. Jordy grew up on the Sunshine Coast, so she has a great love for this local community and all this region offers. With this love and her knowledge of the Coast and TRS, Jordy is equipped to assist our clients with finding the best therapist and helping them begin their journey with our company. Jordy comes from a big family, so she is always down for a laugh or a chat. She is kind, caring and always there for our team and clients. After work, you’ll find her walking on the beach or watching a good TV series.

Kate is one of our incredible Scheduling Coordinators, who always goes above and beyond for our clients. Kate’s vibrant, easy-going nature makes her easy to live and work alongside. She is focused on providing the best care for our clients and our team. She has a varied work background, and her experience adds to our team! Growing up in the Whitsundays, Kate has a great love for the outdoors, surfing and exercise. Kate is passionate about nutrition and health and is in the early stages of her degree in Nutrition. You’ll find Kate having a surf, a laugh or at the gym in her spare time.
Aileen Ripper
Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Aileen has a passion for supporting children to overcome barriers and reach their potential. In her twelve years since graduating from the University of Queensland, she has enjoyed working in a range of settings including hospitals and the community. Over the past decade, her work has primarily been with children and young adults living with physical and neurological disabilities, as well as other developmental conditions. Aileen understands the importance of nurturing the unique strengths and interests of each individual and uses a range of interventions with a focus on promoting function and independence through goal-directed, play-based therapies; assistive technology; and environmental modification. Aileen believes that collaboration with the child, their family, and other health professionals is key to maximising participation in life, and independence on the journey to adulthood.
Stacey Duncan

Stacey completed her certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance (physiotherapy) through TAFE Queensland in 2021. Stacey completed her work placement through Total Rehab Solutions , then begun full time work with the company soon after.
Stacey has two years of pervious experience as an Allied Heath Assistant, where she assisted in falls prevention classes, aqua aerobics and hydrotherapy.
Stacey is interested in neurological conditions, pediatrics and hydrotherapy

Connor Graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Connor has a strong interest in upper limb rehabilitation, hand therapy, and assistive technology. He is motivated and passionate about helping clients maintain their independence to ensure they live safely within their home environment. Outside of work, Connor enjoys playing outdoor sports and going to the beach.
Rebecca Rollings

Becca has an undergraduate degree from Brock University in Canada and has graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Her passion is to assist clients to live fulfilling lives by individualising programs to enable participation in everyday life and meaningful activities. Becca wishes to learn more about mental health conditions and best provide support for clients throughout their health journey. Outside work, Becca is passionate about sport, music, and developing communities domestically and internationally. She loves to travel, go to the beach and experience new cultures.
Pip Sparrow

Pip graduated from Monash University in Victoria with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) before moving to the Sunshine Coast in search of warmer water and sunny skies.
Pip currently works as a physio with our TRS Sunshine Coast team and as a physio within the Department of Education. Pip believes in the holistic management of participants and their families to help them work towards their individual goals. Pip thrives on the playful nature of Paediatric Physiotherapy and believes we can make all areas of physio more exciting with a similar approach.
Shelly Chung
Occupational Therapist
Shelly graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) and Masters of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University. She has moved to the Gold Coast with experience in acute care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and community care. Shelly understands the complexities of the physical, mental and emotional challenges that her clients experience as she supports them through their journey to recovery and independence at home. Shelly is passionate about providing inclusive and creative therapy that empowers clients to be at the centre of their goals. She has a strong background in geriatrics care and neurological conditions with a particular interest in post-stroke upper limb therapy, rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, home modifications and assistive technology prescription.
On her days off, she enjoys going on day hikes and picnics, shooting hoops and snorkelling.
Nicholas Roth
Podiatrist
Nicholas graduated from QUT in 2015. Nicholas previously worked in Far North Queensland and on the Sunshine Coast; he relocated to the Gold Coast in 2021 with his wonderful wife and daughter. On the weekends, he loves fishing, camping and visiting the beautiful beaches all along the Coast. Nicholas has a particular interest in complex caseloads, including diabetes, paediatrics and walking gait function, although enjoying all aspects of Podiatry. He is kind and passionate about helping his patients achieve their goals and using the motto “prevention is better than cure” to get there.
Sarah Brown

Sarah is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, completing her Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Sarah enjoys meeting and working with new people and has a passion for supporting people achieve their goals through a client-centred approach, encouraging sustainable eating behaviours and using evidence-based practice. Sarah’s special interest areas include weight management, oncology, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and gastrointestinal health.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys roller skating, spending time with family and friends and taking her two German Shepards for a walk.
Luke Rogers
Podiatrist
Luke is an experienced podiatrist who has been operating in private practice for over 14 years, with 2 years of rural experience with Queensland Health. Luke volunteered for several years with the Queensland Podiatry Board and was appointed president in 2017, providing insight and experience at an industry body level.
This combination of experience and study has led him to gain a strong reputation as a caring and trustworthy practitioner.
Luke has comprehensive experience in podiatry and enjoys all aspects, from mechanical assessment and sports injuries to ingrown nails and plantar warts. Luke just
likes fixing feet problems. In addition to his Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at QUT, Luke also has a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, which talks to his interest in sport-related injury management and prevention.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Luke has an inherent love for sports, camping and the outdoors. He is a keen golfer and enjoys helping to coach his children’s soccer teams.
Jaime Siu

Originally from the Gold Coast, Jaime worked for 6 years as an admin and practice manager in a podiatry/osteopathy clinic while studying a Bachelor of Journalism and Psychology at UQ. She soon discovered a passion for helping the disability community while supporting special needs children within the education system. Jaime began to pursue a role in the disability and community health industry as an Allied Health Assistant to assist community and in-home clients with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy and OT (daily living skills and assistive technology).
Working closely with the prescribing professional, Jaime loves the allied health industry and combining all the knowledge from the various fields to create meaningful and functional sessions for her clients to see the best outcome possible. She is continuing her journey into allied health by currently undertaking a Masters of OT.
Avi Shrestha

Avi graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016. Before joining Total Rehab Solutions, Avi spent his early career in rural practice in both the private and public sectors.
Clinically, Avi enjoys practising as a generalist and helping clients in all areas of physiotherapy with more complex care needs. Avi aspires to maintain a consistent practice in all areas of physiotherapy while providing education and mentorship to fellow clinicians and students.
In his spare time, Avi enjoys karaoke, documentaries about crustaceans, and spending time with his fur babies JOJO (German Shepherd) and GIGI (Golden Retriever).

Hayden completed his certificate IV in Allied Health at the Australian College of Sport in 2017. Wanting to further his studies and knowledge, Hayden is currently studying Occupational Therapy at The University of the Sunshine Coast. Georgia Smith moved to the Sunshine Coast after completing her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at the University of Queensland. Georgia strives to provide high-quality, evidence-based treatment to assist all clients to achieve their goals. She believes exercise should be fun and values building strong relationships with clients to ensure each session is enjoyable. Georgia is passionate about helping all individuals through exercise although is particularly interested in neurological rehabilitation. Ben Bowering
Exercise Physiologist
Combining a love for exercise and a desire to help people, Ben dove straight into the studies of Exercise Physiology and through his experience has further cultivated a passion for Musculoskeletal and Neurological rehabilitation. Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, he gained the skills and knowledge to guide people through their recovery, getting them back to what they love doing. Ben believes in a person-centred approach to rehabilitation ensuring all individuals are listened to and are involved in the curation of their treatment plan.
Ben is fortunate enough to be a lifelong local of the Sunshine Coast and has participated in most sports and activities the region has to offer. When he’s not working you can find Ben out in the surf, on the golf course perfecting his swing, or in the kitchen testing new recipes.

Trent completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy through Charles Sturt University, being amongst the first cohort to complete this degree at the Port Macquarie campus. Most recently from WA, Trent changed careers to pursue his passion for helping others. Trent has a keen interest in Paediatrics and rehabilitation through exercise drawing from a background in strength and conditioning. He believes that by empowering clients with knowledge and skills he can help them achieve their goals. In his spare time, Trent enjoys playing guitar, weightlifting and beach days with his dog.
Nikita Keegan

Nikita graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Nikita has previous experience working as a Local Area Coordinator on the Fraser Coast, supporting families and their children to access NDIS funding and early interventional support. Nikita has a passion for mental health and supporting individuals to live purposeful life with as much independence as possible. Nikita has clinical experience providing evidence-based care in mental health and community care settings and continues to enjoy providing support in these areas. Nikita strongly believes in advocating for individuals’ support needs and assisting them in taking control of their health and well-being. Nikita strives to ensure clients’ needs are heard, understood and provided for during their ‘Total Rehab Solutions’ journey.

Kirrily Robinson

Kirrily Robinson is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who graduated from the University of Sunshine Coast Kirrily’s ambition is to inspire, motivate and support clients to create balanced and realistic nutritional goals in order to achieve sustainable long-term health. Kirrily has a friendly and non-judgemental mature to ensure clients feel comfortable talking about their nutritional goals and provides an individualised approach, understanding that each client has different needs and values for their health journey.
Kirrily’s special interest areas include but are not limited to: Women’s health & pregnancy nutrition, gut health, nutritional deficiencies, building healthy food relationships, diabetes and paediatric nutrition. In her spare time, Kirrily enjoys being active, going for coffee with friends & family and baking delicious recipes.
Kaitlyn Francis
Occupational Therapist
Kaitlyn graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Kaitlyn is passionate about enabling clients to increase their independence and engage in meaningful occupations. She takes great value in empowering clients to achieve their goals and increase their independence. Kaitlyn highly values the need to build professional relationships to build rapport with clients to support and enable them. Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
Jordan Trott
Occupational Therapist
Jordan graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours).
Jordan has a passion for rural healthcare and enabling people of all ages and backgrounds to access supportive, equitable and professional care.
Jordan has had the opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy support to the people and families of the Fraser Coast for the past three years. Jordan has experience in an array of areas including major modifications, upper limb neurological and post-surgical rehab and equipment prescription. She enjoys working with colleagues and clients to achieve goals and build healthy working relationships.
In her spare time, Jordan enjoys the beach, playing netball and spending time with her dog, Pippa.
Jacob Hook
Massage Therapist
Jacob completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage early 2022. Before his studies to become a remedial therapist he studied at the University of the Sunshine Coast and obtained his Diploma in Sport Science. He is currently a member of the Massage and Myotherapy Australia association. Jacob’s main goal is to treat and teach massage techniques so that his clients can reduce their pain and tension at home, by themselves.
In his free time, Jacob loves to surf, mountain bike, and play golf with friends and family.

Chyanne Everingham
Exercise Physiologist
Chyanne completed a master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Southern Cross University, Gold Coast, in 2020. From a young age, Chyanne developed a special interest in neurological rehabilitation, which has led to her passion for exercise physiology and helping people reach their optimal function.
Chyanne likes to think outside of the box when prescribing exercise to provide a tailored exercise program that is specific to each individual’s goals, whether that is to increase mobility, function or overall health.
Outside of work, Chyanne likes to listen to live music, spend time with friends and family and chase sunsets.
Sha Sani
Podiatrist
Sha moved to Brisbane over five years ago to pursue a career in podiatry at QUT after noticing the common lower limb ailments her elders were experiencing.
Sha spent most of her free time volunteering at various aged care facilities to help the elderly maintain good foot health, and has a particular interest in dermatological foot conditions, nails, as well as high-risk foot care.
She also has an affinity for orthotic therapy and technology after conducting research in her final year as an honours student at QUT.

Kit completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University. Kit had a compulsion to join the health field due to his deep affection of those in need of help. He has a strong interest in rehabilitation and hopes with the education and guidance he provides, he will be able to aid in increasing the quality of life of his patients by achieving daily goals/tasks. Kit has a deep love and passion for surfing and improving his fitness and health.
Aidan Quinn
Physiotherapist
Aidan completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University. Since graduating, Aidan has gained a strong interest in post-operative and neurological rehabilitation. His goal is to inspire and help those maintain and optimise their function through the use of Physiotherapy and exercise. In his time, Aidan enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and watching the football. Aidan looks forward to helping you along your journey of rehabilitation
Thomas Abraham
Podiatrist
Tom completed a Bachelor of Podiatry with the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Since leaving university, he has gained interest and extensive experience in podiatric sporting injuries, biomechanics, chronic lower limb pain, paediatrics and neurological conditions while always looking to learn more. Tom has a special interest in diabetic care and education which he is currently undertaking further study in. His treatment is always provided according to the most recent research and aims to provide each patient with the best possible care that he can. Tom employs several treatment modalities according to each individual patient and their goals including hands-on soft tissue work, dry needling, taping/strapping, exercise prescription and education to name a few.
During school and university, Tom spent some time working with running footwear, specifically ASICS and has been actively involved in playing soccer, tennis and completed athletics up to a state-level on multiple occasions. Tom is a keen traveller spending a year in Europe and some time in Nepal volunteering and completing the Everest base camp trek. Tom also enjoys snowboarding when he can.
Arron Quine
Allied Health Assistant
Arron has completed a cert4 as an Allied Health Assistant (Physiotherapy) and his work placement at Sports and Spinal. He is also in his third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at QUT. He enjoys meeting clients and working within the rehabilitation field to help people achieve health-related goals and fitness. Previously, Arron worked in the Australian Defence Force, which allowed him to assist local communities and individuals in times of need nationally and internationally.
Outside work, Arron enjoys all things sport, predominantly Rugby League and going to the gym. He also likes to compete in outdoor and indoor cricket.
Rhys Brook
Exercise Physiologist
Rhys is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor of Human Movement and a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of South Australia. He has worked in remote Aboriginal communities in the Alice Springs region and private practice clinics. Rhys’ goal is to provide people with an enjoyable service to foster an appreciation of exercise and make lifelong changes to improve their health. Rhys enjoys all areas of exercise physiology and is passionate about working with neurological conditions.
In his own time, Rhys enjoys reading, gaming, and spending time with his dog.
