Welcome Sequoyah Ryder to the TRS team! 🙌

Sequoyah graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

She has moved to the Fraser Coast with experience in various areas including Community Health, Aged Care, Disability and the NDIS as well as working within multidisciplinary teams.

This experience has led Sequoyah towards a passion of helping people within the community to work towards their goals and assist them to do the things that they want and need to do.

Sequoyah has knowledge and experience in areas such as functional cognition, sensory processing, developing independence in activities, parent/carer education/coaching, manual handling, complex case management, functional capacity assessments, supported independent living, posture and positioning, home and vehicle modifications, support worker training, home and living assessments and equipment prescription.

Sequoyah highly values supporting the support team for a person (family systems, support workers etc.) by joint problem solving and using a strength-based approach to finding opportunities for positive change.

Sequoyah’s professional practices are guided by principles of evidence-based practice, client centeredness and ensuring that everyone including in regional and rural areas, can access services and support.
